The sites and times of the girls basketball semistates were announced by the IHSAA on Sunday. Five northeast Indiana teams, Garrett, South Side, Canterbury, Southern Wells and Wawasee, will be involved in four games at two sites – Plymouth and Elkhart’s Northside Gym on Saturday.

(Huntington)- Andy Rang and the South Side Archers have done what no other team in school history has ever accomplished, win a Regional title. The Archers cruised past Anderson in the first round of the Huntington North 4A Regional, and then beat Kokomo in the finals 62-54.

The pollsters were right. Playing more like a No. 1-ranked team, the Wawasee Lady Warriors defeated the No. 3 Fort Wayne Elmhurst Trojans, 56-49, in the Class 3A girls basketball regional championship Saturday night at Peru High School.
